The Disperator Glass Crusher GKF550 makes light work of handling empty bottles, jars and other glass containers by grinding them to small particles the size of sand. These particles have no sharp edges and are collected in a plastic bag placed in front. After being ground an empty bottle has only 20% of it's original volume which means less storage space, less frequent collection and lower transportation costs.
The grinder is mounted in a stainless steel cabinet, which complies with the requirements for a hygienic kitchen area. The number of bottles crushed is dependent upon the size and weight of the collection bag when filled. The crusher is fed one bottle at the time and it takes about 10 seconds to grind a wine bottle. A suction unit connected to the inlet tube collects any glass dust that may result when grinding.
