On board ships, food waste must be ground to a specified particle size before disposal is permitted into the sea. The Disperator Series of food waste disposers has Det Norske Veritas (DNV) Approval and the Chinese Classification Society Certificate (CCS) for compliance with IMO MARPOL 73/78 ANNEX V.
To enable installation of the disposer wherever food waste is produced, assemblies are available for mounting basic disposers under a sink unit or into a working top. When the disposer is to stand separately, the grinding unit is mounted in a cabinet.
